Rhyming Sermon Notes: Psalm 125

Phillip Amos
Psalm 125 (Series: Psalms)

Relying exclusively on our powerful Lord,
stable, unchanging forever adored.

Jerusalem, an ancient fortress on high,
set firm on the mountain may your springs not run dry.

The walls all defended by lame and by blind,
but David did conquer, the people did bind.

In the Lord we are safe and secure all the way.
In faith we can hope as we rest and we pray.

The battle is here, the battle is won.
The people did nothing, they did not need to run.

But trust in ourselves, and the plans they will fail.
The people are scattered and all start to wail.

Sufficient we are when we trust in the Lord,
but weak, lost, and hopeless when we ignore His Word.

When we trust in ourselves, the Lord leads to our end.

When we trust in our Lord, His provision will send.

After these first few “Rhyming Sermon Notes” I plan to release a batch all in one post instead of for each message.
